Scout Week

Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Scouts BSA, and beyond have their own week at The National WWII Museum, with free admission to every Scout in uniform and reduced cost for family members. On these days, Scouts can tour our exhibits and galleries and enjoy a variety of exciting virtual activities designed just for them.

All levels of Scouts, along with their families, are invited to The National WWII Museum’s annual Scout Week!

This program allows Scouts to tour our immersive exhibits, explore the history and lessons of World War II, and participate in activities around the Museum. Uniformed scouts will enjoy free admission and reduced cost for family members all week!

Admission:

  • Free for uniformed Scouts
  • $5 per non-Scout child
  • $10 per accompanying adult

Included in admission is a free National WWII Museum fun patch available for each Scout and Troop Leader! Pick up your patch at Guest Services; supplies are limited to one patch per Scout or Leader.

Scouts and their families are also welcome to attend Family Night at Expressions of America on Saturday, January 27. Admission is free for students and $15 for adults.

The Museum will also be hosting two in-person Badge Workshops during Scout Week. While these workshops are designed to meet the needs of particular Scout Badges, any Scout is welcome to attend the workshops with a supervising family member or Troop Leader. The number of participants for each workshop will be limited and advance registration is required, so reserve your spot now!

Saturday, January 20: First Aid Workshop
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center

Scouts will learn first aid practices while exploring and discovering aspects of medical history during World War II. Through this workshop, participants will meet some of the requirements of the Brownie/Junior/Cadette First Aid Badge (Girl Scouts) and the First Aid Badge (Boy Scouts, Eagle required). Scouts will also have the opportunity to tour the Museum’s new special exhibit, Our War Too: Women in Service. This workshop is recommended for Scouts ages 8 and up.

Saturday, January 27: Community Building Workshop
1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. at the Education Classroom

Register

In conjunction with International Holocaust Remembrance Day, this workshop will focus on identity and community. Participants will meet some of the requirements of the Citizenship in Society badge (Boy Scouts) and Celebrating Community badge (Girl Scouts). This workshop is recommended for Scouts ages 10 and up.
