Discounted Museum admission is available every day for K-12 students, and kids under 5 get in free.
Get your ticket and head to the L.W. “Pete” Kent Train Car Experience in Louisiana Memorial Pavilion. Register your Dog Tag either on board the train car or at the kiosk to follow your WWII servicemember’s story at interactive stations throughout the Museum.
From there, head to The Arsenal of Democracy: The Herman and George R. Brown Salute to the Home Front, which highlights what life was like for families during World War II with a re-created 1940s-style kitchen and living room to explore.
Journey across Founders Plaza and the Col. Battle Barksdale Parade Ground at the heart of campus to see life-size bronze statues of notable WWII figures, including President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Anne Frank, a war dog and its handler, and General Dwight D. Eisenhower.
Head inside US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center, the stunning home of six restored WWII planes and other iconic wartime vehicles. A favorite spot for visitors of all ages, plane spotter activity sheets are available to help you identify the different types of aircraft soaring overhead.
In the John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion, get an up-close look at restored wartime vehicles and vessels, including the Museum’s patrol torpedo-boat, PT-305, nicknamed USS Sudden Jerk. Plus, visit the STEM Innovation Gallery to discover how science, technology, engineering, and math contributed to Allied victory in World War II.
Don’t forget to enjoy quick café bites at the Jeri Nims Soda Shop or classic American fare at The American Sector Restaurant & Bar. Snacks and kid-friendly souvenirs are also available at our Museum Store locations throughout campus.
Keep your Museum experience going beyond the galleries! See the delightful Victory Belles perform at our 1940s-themed entertainment venue, BB’s Stage Door Canteen, including at our popular Teddy Bear Tea during the holidays. Join us Tuesday and Saturday mornings for Storytime at the Museum, featuring WWII-themed children's books, fun activities, and crafts. Monthly Family Nights at Expressions of America, the Museum’s outdoor sound and light show, include outdoor games and activities before the show, kid-friendly food options, and more, with free admission for Louisiana students.
The National WWII Museum is proud to be certified Sensory Inclusive with KultureCity and offers Sensory Friendly Mornings on the last Saturday of each month for individuals of all ages with special needs and their families to enjoy early access to the Museum with modifications.
